 note: Maurice Trintignant alla sua ultima stagione ed alla età di 46 anni (era nato il 30.10.1917) conquista il quinto posto correndo da privato con una vecchia BRM ex Scuderia Centro Sud, aveva esordito nel 1938 e vinta la sua prima gara nel 1939, nella sulla sua carriera ha guidato per quasi tutte le marche e vinto due gare mondiali (sempre a Monaco, 1955 e 1958) ed altre nove gare fuori campionato. Da segnalare anche il debutto della Honda.
